Played well yesterday, brought back some lovely memories. Hope he plays for the rest of the season. Still love him to bits

A world cup Possible Perhaps? I agreed in 98 when Hoddle dropped him, but now .. well, he may be worth it to bring on for 20 mins when we're 1-0 down.

Nah, wishful thinking. His time is gone. Shame.

A current player of his type now?, sticks to his guns he has 6months to make it happen , I am not writing him off and it all boils down to how his team performs, go on Gazza son `Your country needs Yoo`

He was terrific when he came on yesterday - turned an utter bore into a thoroughly enjoyable 45mins. The thing I really loved was that he played with a smile on his face, obviously enjoying every single minute - so unusual in these days of snarlers and divers.

He is arguably the best player of his generation, but sadly his time has passed at the top level.

Here's a confession from the opposition. It may shock some but I still love the fella to bits anarl.

Gazza always has been one of my favourite players of all time, and the ONLY Mag ever who I have seen and truly rate as world class (Sorry Anal but you arent even close to wiping his boots). The Frank Skinner show had me starting to well up a few weeks back.

And yes it would make my day if he got razor sharp fit till the end of the season, and made his England selection a certainty. For me a fully fit Gazza, even at his age, could be an 'ace' card at the tournament.

But my realist side says he'll get injured again :o(

...... don't get me wrong GM - I'd be thrilled to bits if the Daft Bugger made it to the WC, but like you I reckon his body will lead the protests.
