Listening to that tw*t Littlejohn while making my tea! Anyone else hear him and those 2 Charlton supporters. None of them saw the incident which lead to Shearer's sending off but they all had an opinion on it of course. Apparently he was due a sending off as he is a 'dirty' player. Well sorry, I didn't think you got punished for previous infringements.

I don't doubt Shearer does put it about on the pitch and we've all seen him do it but the lad is kicked and fouled every week monotonously by defenders yet the image is now that Shearer is a dirty player and therefore always in the wrong according to Littlejohn and his crap.

I don't know why I listen to that show. Full of whingers. Newcastle supporters never phone in and I think they do right. Treat it with the contempt it deserves. Alan Green is much better on a Sunday night.

I was listening to the program on my way home from Charlton Lynda and almost crashed the car in rage when I heard those calls. Usually I enjoy Littlecock's show - it's a huge improvement on David "red hot soccer chat" Mellor and being in London I can't tune into the delights of the "Three Legends". To be honest though it isn't just Littlecock. Most other Cockney journalists and fans are fervently anti-Shearer and todays "incident" just gives them a chance to jump on the bandwagon and throw more abuse at a man who has achieved far more in recent years than any London based striker I can think of. Mark Hughes had a similarstyle of play and can you ever remember the press giving him a hard time.

Like you I also enjoy Alan Green (both as a commentator and a 606 presenter) although with his blatant Liverpool bias I am surprised that the supposedly impartial BBC can continue to employ him. It's hilarious when he starts arguing with callers.

Why don't we all complain about it?

I sent a message to Sky Sports' Customer Service via their website to complain about Trevor Francis' commentating, got no reply but they must get a canny few for him though.

Have just seen the "Sending off" Incident on telly...You have to be in cloud cuckoo land to believe there was an elbow. Both arms were pushed forward. YBR + Alan must appeal against this decision Outrageous decision

I was inclined to phone up myself but knew it wasn't worth the trouble. I agree about Green's Liverpool bias, it is so blatant but funny for all that.

The thing is with Green, he doesn't deny his bias.

With the others they pretend they are impartial when in couldn't be further from the truth

Andy Gray's favourite player is Shearer - he even proved that his goal against Manure was going in, yet the FA dubious goals panel disagreed with Sky's technology.

Thierry Henry has scored two goals this season via huge deflections that were never in a million years going into the net, yet when it comes to the scorer's charts, the goals are credited to Henry, not own goals. Blatant Southern bias if you ask me.

As Henry is in my Fantasy League team I'm afraid I'm with the panel on this one!

I DID have Wes Brown in my team, so I am completely against the panel.

I think he's bound to slate anyone human through sheer jealousy looking like that.

Lop sided smile and one eye higher than the other.

Talk Squak with the great Lawrie & his side kick wouldn't hear a word against Shearer, I then turned over to Little dick. Whilst the Charlton fans were entitled to their views (although one had it about right that Shearer may well be innocent but lets be honest, has got away with worse). If he had been more honest about the Lennon thing, he may well get away with more these days.

-- Anonymous, December 02, 2001

he never shot Lennon that was another guy, Shearer was only a sub that day

-- Anonymous, December 02, 2001

I used to be edging towards Lennon's side on that one, but when he moved to Celtic he started whinging like a baby, "Shearer never phoned me up to say sorry, sob sob sob"

Blatant stupidy after he had previously said after the match that it didn't matter, these things happen etc.

Niall Quinn gets away with a lot worse than Shearer has ever done, yet he's seen as the people's friend.
