Response to conformation

Hello, Megan.
Do you mean "confirmed" -- i.e., that you will receive the Sacrament of Confirmation?
Have you always been Catholic, or are you just entering the Catholic Church from another Christian community?

Response to conformation

Hi Megan,

I'm glad that you are interested in learning about your Catholic Faith. Confirmation in most diocese is a two year preparation process. The first year is reviewing all the stuff that you ;earned in CCD or religion class. It is basically a review of the teachings of the Catholic Church according to the Catechisn of The Catholic Church. The second year is a review of the moral teachings and learning to apply and live the Church teachings in your daily life. You should speak with your pastor about your interest.

Conformation is something that you really don't want to do i hate it you cant be normal like the other kids can it cuts homework time down. I don't see the point in it all why has it take over ten years and i am still not ready oh it sucks more than you can imagine this is the truth think before you get into this and think hard because it may not be something you really want to do. Once you are inb they never let you out no matter how much they force it apon you and if you don't tell them early then you will be stuck there forever it really bites please think about it hard and long it is not a light desicion you will never be like the other kids who get to stay at home durring the week no you are treated special and stupid like a little retarded kid that can't make desicions for them selves and i feel very strong about this subject. This is no joke and i am a real person going though the stuff that everyone else has to go though and i look at the people who did this berfore and i think wow i wish i was that tolerent and could have done what they did and why is this so hard for me. Why should i make the desictions you know i am still a miner of sixteen it should not be that hard right? WRONG!!! it really does bite trust me think before you leap.

Response to conformation

Suellen,
Please tell us about this "confOrmation" which is so bad.
You seem to be talking about something that has nothing at all to do with the Catholic sacrament of ConfIrmation.
Thanks. JFG
