I have a Canon EOS 300. I want to know how good is this camera for capturing fast moving objects and/or Sports. I have ordinary EF75-300mm/f4-5.6 zoom len. Do I need any teleconvertors for Sports photography. I have never tried it. But want to know it before givin a try.

thanx

I don't understand why you're asking a global camera forum this question when you already have the equipment. Why don't you go and try it?

Both the camera and lens are fairly low-end consumer items, and so not the world's fastest equipment, but only you can decide if they're fast enough to suit your needs.

Don't waste time trying to put a teleconverter on a lens like that, though. Teleconverters are only of value with large expensive lenses which let in more light. Consumer zoom lenses don't let enough light (they aren't "fast "enough because their widest aperture is too small) to work well with teleconverters.

i have found that when photographing basketball games i need a lot of light. what i have found works well for me is an olympus om-2 loaded with superia 1600 using a 50mm f/1.8 and a 135mm f/2.8 and sometimes a flash. if you are shooting day time games your setup should be fine, but for indoor and night games you are going to need a better setup than that.
