This link has that quote I've been looking for.

It's about politics [my passion these days], and Ashcroft, specifically. I'll confess that I had my doubts about that guy BEFORE he was confirmed and I sat at the T.V. watching the confirmation hearings pretty much just to see what he'd say. He's gone beyond my farthest expectations. To ME, it's like that Crisco Oil he put on his head for the confirmation ceremony led him to believe he was our new savior. [Don't ask me who the old one was.]

Obviously Liberal Rag article on Ashcroft

Z: You live in Missouri and you once said that you trusted this guy. Do you still feel that way?

-- Anita (Anita_S3@hotmail.com), November 29, 2001.

Anita:

Sure I trust him. I trust him to do exactly what I know he will do in every situation. He has strong beliefs and he always follows them. I said that he was honest and an honorable person. I also believe I said that I voted for the dead guy in the Senate race. The dead guy carried my county. I said that he wasn't the right person to be AG. In my opinion, his personal philosophy and beliefs are not correct for this time. Of course this conversation was on Poole's and I don't think that you posted there.

Best Wishes,,,,,

From my vantage point, I was right.

Ah, the Cap Times, still manning the barricades in Mad City.

The WTC was a grand hoax, orchestrated by Bush, Ashcroft and Hollywood Jews. It never happened.

Arabs are warm fuzzy guys and they will never hurt you if you just be nice.

I know you were being sarcastic, but your post reminded me of a vacation that included Morocco. Small children had knives hidden under their robes and the game in the square was to see how fast they could whip them out and throw them. The only Arabic I ever learned was "Imshee!". I have no idea how to spell that, but it means something like "Go away and leave me alone." It never bought me much, as the Moroccan Arabs spoke English as well as I did.

Morocco...two r's and one c? Morroco. That doesn't look right either. Two r's and two c's? Morrocco. I dunno.

-- Anita (Anita_S3@hotmail.com), November 29, 2001.

Anita:

I spell it "Morocco", but there are other spellings. In some cases one of the o's can be an a. Transposition from Arabic to English leads to many spellings. Interesting place. We spent some time in the mountains.

Best Wishes,,,

Anita,

You are too funny, skewing your own thread...

Ashcroft is an interesting character, as well as Rumsfeld, but, these guys have the unenviable job of tightening up the country to prevent, or a least limit the debacles like 9/11.

I know I wouldn't want their jobs...

Well, I HAVE seen some decent discussion on this subject. It wasn't on THIS forum, but I love you all, anyway. Here's more on this from Bob Boudelang, an American Patriot.
