Oh bloody f**k!

-- Anonymous, November 29, 2001

We got Chelsea. Oh deary me.

-- Anonymous, November 29, 2001

YOU ARE JOKING!!!!!!!!!!!!!! FFS - why not give us the hardest tie (after Arse) Well we owe them big style after the Semi but I'm sickened by that.

-- Anonymous, November 29, 2001

Also, sickened by the fact that media darlings Spurs are through. Wouldn't bet against them for the final, especially since they've got an easy tie. bloody typical.

-- Anonymous, November 29, 2001

That just has the miserable look of really tough QF and Semis with Watford/Wednesday spawning through to the Final as makeweights for undeserving winners.

-- Anonymous, November 29, 2001

Like I said, doesn't look too good. Still look on the bright side, if we're gonna win the damn thing we're going to have to beat a decent side. I still think we'll win.

-- Anonymous, November 29, 2001

We drew this season, with Warren playing a blinder, all we need to do is tell him this is his last chance of a new contract and we're through !!!

-- Anonymous, November 29, 2001

Interestingly, the draw was made by two former Spurs players - Paul Walsh and Clive Allen - and they contrived to get the easiest draw, and at home. Tossers!

Ah well, we'll just have to do it the hard way.

-- Anonymous, November 29, 2001

We have terrible luck in this competetion. I can't forget 1976. Only a bairn but absolutely mortified by it and then that debacle with Arsenal under KK when ginola got sent off. Terrible memories.

Still could be a chance although it will certainly stretch our squad during December.

-- Anonymous, November 29, 2001

Surely Spurs haven't got that easy a tie. They didn't get Watford or Sheffield Wednesday and surely Bolton aren't pushovers (when they manage to play with a goalie). If memory serves they've already won at Old Trafford this season and got a point at Highbury. Easiest tie for Spurs would have been Newcastle at White Hart Lane, surely!!!

-- Anonymous, November 29, 2001

Damn

Hopefully Ranieri will be gone and Hasselbaink and Gudjohnsen will go on strike by then.

-- Anonymous, November 29, 2001

If we get into the fial at least the media can't accuse us of getting an easy route through. Plus if our London jinxis still intact then penalties might be a good way to break it for the rest ofthe season. If we get another 1-1 draw, or does the jinx also count for pen, shoot outs?

-- Anonymous, November 29, 2001

Spot on Jim. It will almost make me feel OK if we lose this Saturday against Charlton just so we can break that hoodoo in style. Canny week mind - Chelsea away one week and @rse the following. Sometimes I think the gods have got it against us :-(

-- Anonymous, November 29, 2001

F*&K F^%K F&^kety F*&K

I hate when my gut is right. HATE IT! :-(

-- Anonymous, November 29, 2001

So when's the draw for the FAC? We usually do well in that one. ;-)

-- Anonymous, November 29, 2001

Oh no anhyone but Chelsea away, Spurs away, Bolton, Watford em

Still think Chelsea may be going thru a transitional stage and with

the best footballer in the country (Zola) not quite what he was and

some slight vulnerability in defence, and with us after our impressive good display at the Valley could surprise some of us.

Or should I keep quiet now???

-- Anonymous, November 29, 2001

That's actually a worse draw than the Arse, since at least they (Arse) are playing weakened sides. Chelsea screwed up in Europe and aint going to win the league, so this is probably even more important to them than it is to us. Boo.

-- Anonymous, November 29, 2001

Blackburn, Sheff Wed, Bolton and the Toon to go through after perhaps us replaying, then Bolton in Semis and a revenge-sweet final against that nice Mr Souness for the final.

Its my canny prediction.

-- Anonymous, November 29, 2001

Uncanny derek, ditto ;7)

-- Anonymous, November 29, 2001

No problems... by the time we play this (week of Dec 10?) Ranieri will be out on his arse and we'll whup the pants of Bates' mob.

-- Anonymous, November 30, 2001

Please explain, if it's a draw at ft, is it a replay at St James's (remember Pedro's missed penalty in the FA cup), or is it extra time and penalties? And is the semi a two legged affair? (and yes, I know it's difficult to play footy with only one leg, but we've had a few players over the years who've done a good impersonation)

-- Anonymous, November 30, 2001

Bring them on! we've got a better team than them. How hungry are they how chicken sh*t are we?

-- Anonymous, November 30, 2001

..... we've also had a few who's main problem has been their third leg!

-- Anonymous, November 30, 2001

....and with a bit of luck, he'll be "firing" on all cylinders by then ;-)

-- Anonymous, November 30, 2001

If we were ever going to win this Cup we were always going to have to beat at least one decent side along the way, so far we've played no- one of note. Bring 'em on, if we beat them we'll win the bugger, nowt's surer.

-- Anonymous, November 30, 2001

Prediction: WC Final - Newcastle v Spurs.

-- Anonymous, November 30, 2001

Got a feeling that this b*stard Cup has got Spurs' name written all over it.

-- Anonymous, November 30, 2001

I'm with you Dougs...there's no doubt hoddle has worked wonders there but the media are getting carried away....

-- Anonymous, November 30, 2001

Spurs - media darlings? They're only top of the Premiership in the Sun's Striker cartoon strip as well. So the treble it is then.

-- Anonymous, November 30, 2001

As said above, if we're ever going to win cups we've got to beat good teams, home and away. I welcome the Chelsea draw (although playing at SJP would be better), and the greater the obstacle (away in London, hoodoo team etc) the greater the glory. We'll f**kin' hammer them.

There, that's us f**ked then

-- Anonymous, November 30, 2001

Gav, it is a bit like when George Graham went there - he initially did good things and that year they won the Worthington but it essentially was papering over some big cracks.

-- Anonymous, November 30, 2001

Gawd....even worse than drawing Chelsea away is the thought of us having to play Spurs in the final. Rather we go out now than lose in another final to yet another London team.

-- Anonymous, November 30, 2001

No way a Spurs win, the year will not have a 1 in it!

-- Anonymous, November 30, 2001

So they last won the Worthingtom in 19991? ;)

-- Anonymous, November 30, 2001

Nah thats when they will next win it!

-- Anonymous, November 30, 2001

ciara - Ah, but the Final is NOT in Lahndan, it's in Cardiff. There's the rub.

-- Anonymous, November 30, 2001

Anyway dougal, there is a 1 in 1999, I was only playing on the superstition theme!

BTW did you get to the club shop? I have been waiting for a message as to where to send the money.

-- Anonymous, November 30, 2001

I didn't say in London, I said another London team. ;-)

Even worse, Spurs now have Poyet, so even if we got past Chelsea, we'd lose to a London team, Spurs, and a Poyet goal. This just gets worse the more I thinka bout it. Maybe I should put off cleaning the oven for awhile. ;-))

-- Anonymous, November 30, 2001

Thats too messy to think about ciara, your oven is electric isn't it?

-- Anonymous, November 30, 2001

Nope.

-- Anonymous, November 30, 2001

Gus, check e mail but wait for about an hour as my messages from hotmail seem to take years to get through.

-- Anonymous, November 30, 2001

........ I still haven't got the one you said you'd sent me last week. Snail mail?

-- Anonymous, November 30, 2001
