Dilemma:advice sought

I have a ticket for Charlton. The question is, shall I go? I have only missed two matches so far this season - Fulham and West Ham away, and I really want to be there when we win in London, but I am broke and have just sent off for yet more tickets (Leicester, Man Utd, Snotspur) and it's Christmas and, furthermore, it feels like sh*te coming back after London games. On the other hand, since I'm in possession of a ticket, it seems unethical not to go. On the other hand (more hands than a creature from the Greek myths), I do have a LondonMag colleague who would be delighted to use the ticket. Help please.> What shall I do?

They all count for your ticket to the final :-)

You know if you don't go, we'll win. But if you do go, it'll be a bore draw and you'll be miserable and more broke. I'd probably sell the ticket to my worthy colleague then sit home miserable and keep telling myself I did the responsible thing while locking the cat in another room until the urge to kick him has died down. Speaking from experience like... However I genuinely cannot see us winning on Saturday, if that's of any help.

BTW, being grown up and responsible blows chunks.;-)

Thanks for reminding me . I need to get my Man U and Leicester applications in.

Dougal - a quandry indeed I don't know I reckon I'd go if I had the ticket. But then again I don't want to be held responsible for you being broke and having a miserable journey back home in the gale force winds and torrential rain !!!

Dougal, you could always ask the person for who(m?) you applied for Leics and ManUre tickets to pay you in davance. Will a cheque do???

Of course, had I been lucky enough to get a ticket for Charlton, you could have had a lift there and back for nowt. But as I have irrevocably decided not to go, even if one became available, I can't give you a lift.

Screach, I acquired this ticket in a mad moment of optimism on Tuesday - it's not one I ordered through the vouchers. Regarding tix we've ordered, I'd prefer to wait til we get them before parting you from your hard-earned because as you know, at least once in every three games, there's a problem. If I needed the money in advance, I'd have told you :0)) I think I've decided to let my colleague (or failing that Gav or Min) have the ticket anyway for Saturday as there are loads of games coming up and I don't want to miss any of them.

Go to the game Dougal, you know it makes sense! You'll regret it for years if you don't go and we win. If you do go and we lose it'll be just another one of those crappy memories to file away with the previous dozens of London trip.

Aye, you have to go, there isn't really any question about it IMHO.

Sod it: I'm going.

Which is a cast-iron, nailed on guarantee that we'll lose.

It was Soccernet telling us that Pavel Distin played well in Aaron Hughes's absence on Wednesday that did it...
