Surely not? he hasn't been there that long....some of it must've been George Graham? and they've recouped a fair bit...30 odd mill or so :))

Still a lot of money, mind you they don't look any better this year for having Seth Johnson do they....maybe Fowler will just fade their as well....

As far as I can work out, Leeds have spent about £47m net (not including Fowler) since '97. This doesn't seem particularly outrageous. I find it more interesting that despite being dismal (by their own ridiculous expectations) in the league, Chelsea have spent around £55m net in the same period. God, I hate Chelsea.

Moi aussi.

But what about Fulham's expenditure...I mean, that Chairman of theirs can't rub two passports Dodis Hamiltons Harrods spy cameras in his workers locker rooms Conrad Blacks brown envelopes camels together!

They had every transfer that O'Dreary made on Sky Sports.

Once Fowler is signed, it goes to £96.4m

He has sold players for a total of just under £30m.

He has won NOTHING!

Some of the big ones:

- Ferdinand £18m - Keane £12m - Fowler £11m - Johnson £9m (£7m + £2m) - Dacourt £7m - Viduka £6m - Bridges £5.5m - Huckerby £5m (sold for £2.5m) - Matteo £4m - Batty £3m (I think)

A hell of a lot of money.

They've spent another £10m or so on lower cost players who are yet to make an impact on the first team. Some people reckon if they don't get into the Champions League this season then they will have to sell players like Ferdinand just to stay above the water.

...does that mean they still have enough money (or should that be lap dancing clubs?) to tempt one Kieron Dyer over?

Dunno. Maybe they could get Jermaine Wright from Ipswich, who looks vaguely like Dyer.

I'm not sure we can point the finger at big expenditure vs little to show for it :-)
