I wouldn't even give us 50-50 to win the toss.

That'll be the day Kegsy.....I wouldn't have a clue what to do with myself if we were to win in London.....I can't see how we can possibly win on saturday.....we're playing in london against an average team of hardworkers who haven't scored many goals, it's got 3-0 defeat written all over it....

-- Anonymous, November 27, 2001

Remember Gav - you took me to the last London game that I was convinced we'd win... And what happened?

-- Anonymous, November 27, 2001

BUT - I have never been convinced we would win. NEVER.

We will do it or I'll print the original post on a piece of paper and eat it.

-- Anonymous, November 27, 2001

Exactly Nick....the team were bottom of the league, struggling to score and made us look worse than a sunday league team....

Kegsy, I want a better forfeit than that from ya.....you've got to pay for putting the mockers on us ;)) I reckon a pint for all the away fans should do it....hehe

-- Anonymous, November 27, 2001

Agreed Kegsy mate, I'll even give you the score before the game starts!?

-- Anonymous, November 27, 2001

Gav, it's only the mockers if I said what position we'd be in if we won - which of course I won't so no one else should either

Bud, have you been talking to your bookie again?

-- Anonymous, November 27, 2001

I'm still holding you accountable....obviously it can't be the players or managements fault.....

I was quit amused and horrified to hear YBR say the other day that he wasn't gonna turn up but was gonna head off to the Azores instead cos he just couldn't understand it....

-- Anonymous, November 27, 2001

One pint isn't going to go far among 1500 away fans...

I think, and you may call me mad for saying it, that we will DRAW! There, that's about as +ve I can get about L**don games.

It's obvious that Derby were fated for the biggest stuffing ever on Saturday and it's only because certain of us (mainly me) were so categorical that we'd give them the biggest stuffing they've ever had, that the score was just 1-0, and the game was crap.

Without that, the score would have been around the 9-0 mark. So, to prove there really is a jinx, we will dish out the biggest hiding Charlton have ever had, and we'll end up top by 5-45 pm Saturday.

We'll also hammer Ipswich tonight. There, that should have youse quaking in yer boots. :-))

And just to really knack the bike- from the journal Toon News The title is not out of reach, insists Robert Nov 27 2001 The Journal Laurent Robert believes that Newcastle United are emerging as outside bets for the Premiership title after Saturday's 1-0 defeat of Derby moved the Magpies into fourth place in the table.

-- Anonymous, November 27, 2001

Robert also thought he played a good game the other week when everyone else thought he was cr@p. ;-)

I can't even joke and pretend we'll win on Saturday. A draw is the best I can come up with. I think we'll win tonight, but draw a 2nd division team in the next round, away, and then go out. Is Birmingham still in it? ;-))

-- Anonymous, November 27, 2001

I didn't mention the title, I thought it went without saying. :-))

-- Anonymous, November 27, 2001

We will win on Satday ... because I will have travelled 30,000 miles (conservative estimate) to be there :O))

Consider my last 3 matches: Wimbledon at home with Batty 40 yard chip & Shearer belter of a free kick just before heading to Sydney; and last year when I was back Boro away 3-1 and Bradford at home in the Worthless 4-3.

What can possibly go wrong ?!? I bring way more luck from Australia than Sting or Nick Raphael ...

-- Anonymous, November 27, 2001

If you bring us that luck, LT, you won't be allowed to go back to Australia. ;-)

-- Anonymous, November 27, 2001

Loony - Sting had a 3-1 away win and a 3-0 home victory to his credit. You're really expecting to beat that? Bloody hell, you ARE optimistic...

;-)

Where are you off to for pre-match beers lonely?

-- Anonymous, November 27, 2001

Gav - check your mail

-- Anonymous, November 27, 2001

Have done...and replied....shirty birty eh....how funny is that! :))

Anyway....I think everyone who has predicted a win on this thread is a tosser! you're only doing it to wind me up ;))

-- Anonymous, November 27, 2001

we won't win

-- Anonymous, November 27, 2001

No plans yet Gav - where's the crack gonna be ??

-- Anonymous, November 27, 2001

Undecided so far....might not be a bad idea to meet up with DSS and his lot again but the lager drinkers among us(me) will suffer in that pub....there was a pub near the station at charlton where we all went last year, that was a laugh if I remember....

-- Anonymous, November 27, 2001

Gav - sent you a couple of pics i've managed to get off the video

;-)

he he he he

answers on a postcard...

-- Anonymous, November 27, 2001

Nice one min your a star!

-- Anonymous, November 27, 2001

Haha and it sounds well shady sending pics from videos!

-- Anonymous, November 27, 2001

Kegsy marra, I said..."I'll even give you the score before the game starts", which would be 0-0 of course (before...STARTS!)

As for the final score Charlton 2 - Toon 3

;7)

-- Anonymous, November 27, 2001

Kegsy, you'd better hope we don't win. Looks like this thread will cover a good few pages, you'll be digesting it for weeks.

-- Anonymous, November 27, 2001

Al, We will do it or I'll print the original post on a piece of paper and eat it.
