You, me and Dougal both Jim: some great banter. There was a Toon fan on the radio earlier who gave them all a proper caning over the players' strike, would have shaken his hand if I had any idea what he looks like.

were you drinking a weak lemon drink whilst being sat radioside John?

Only when indulging in my real hobbies and it happens to be on in the background ;-)

I wait with baited breath for the usual suggestions as to what my real hobbies are from all the usual suspects...

Who came up with the title '3 Legends'?

Surely the programme should be called '3 blokes who once played for mediocre sides in the North East, never winning anything, but gaining a modicum of fame on a local level through being a) alcoholic b) the wearer of the worst mullet hairstyle since Patrick Swayzee in Dirty Dancing or c) making up the numbers because the occasional listener tunes in from Teeside'.

Precisely tha same thought had occurred to me Jinky - a very presumptious title, to say the least.

Can you help a Johnnie Foreigner join this debate? Who are the three legends?

Lord Patrick of Swayze did not have a mullet. It was hair from beyond the wit of man.

BTW, I hear that the legendary Bernie Slaven is standing for mayor in Boro....

Hmm - I'm tempted to say I'd show my @rse in Fenwicks window if he gets elected. But being in Smogside, there's every chance he will be so I won't.

I watched the one on ITV last night, but it was a bit boring, discussing the usual like whether Phillips and Dyer should be in the England squad and erm, that's all I can remember from it.

SuperMac has the most monotonous voice and Eric Gates looks like he's fresh out of a cardboard box behind a shop in the Haymarket (although the accent doesn't match)
