Thanksgiving

Well, the dinner is all cooked (11am) so now all I have to do is get everything really hot about noon or so. the turkey cooked all night and was falling off the bone when I got up this morning. My dressing looks pretty good. I can smell the sweet-potato/apple dish baking. I like it almost as much as the dressing. I made my mashed potatoes with garlic and chives boiled right in with the potatoes. When I mash themI will add sour cream and real butter. I really like them like this. I love the flavor of garlic!

I better go now and make sure the kids are all getting properly dressed. They like to dress up for these dinners, and it is a big production!!!

Everyone have a wonderful Thanksgiving Day, enjoy your time with family and friends.

Be thinking about those left-over turkey recipes. I will probably post that first thing in the morning.

The best thing I've found to do with the left-over turkey is freeze it--haha. We ate leftovers tonite, and probably will again tomorrow. What I don't reasonably think we could eat in the next day or so, I freeze right away, in portions big enough for another day's meal. In a few weeks, they'll appreciate it again:)

Hope everyone's holiday was great. We had friends over to share the meal and the afternoon, and had a very pleasant day.
