Does the 35mm Summicron ROM available with a rectangular lens hood? Love the look of those rectangular hoods!

Nope. In the R ROM line, only lenses 28mm and wider have rectangular hoods. Both 35mm Summilux-R and Summicron-R have round built-in telescopic hoods, as does just about everything above 35mm.

In older non-ROM lenses, the 35mm Summicron-R (#11227 until 1977) and 35mm f/2.8 Elmarit-R (late #11201 until 1979) use rectangular hood #12509. Late in the runs both were available with the 3rd cam, but neither have ROM contacts, of course. (Leica might retrofit contacts though - ???).

Yes, the #11227 R-35/2 accept the ROM conversion.
