Give youth a chance?

A piece in Sporting Life quote Bradford City's chairman saying they'll use youth and non-contract players to play their matches if the strike goes ahead. I didn't realize that was an option. If so, it might be a good opportunity for our own bairns.

I would imagine most of our youngsters would be contracted players and therefore PFA members. Unless we're talking about the really young ones - the under 16s. Bit tough to ask them to break a strike that's being fought largely so that their union can provide for their education in the event of them not making it as pros long term. Mind you, maybe we could put out a team of 11 Geordies!

Are these the same 11 geordies that you are hunting for in Sydney? I'm starting to think you have a Jesus complex. Geordie Christ and his 10 geordie apostles. There are also confirmed rumours that you dress up as Jesus...

Don't mock my quest for a Geordie football team - how many times have I shouted down a pit shaft this season and acquired a Geordie at short notice for our indoor team? We've had 8 representatives so far this season and we haven't drafted in Dicko yet. 2 more (Gus, fancy a trip to Sydney??) and we can play 11 a side. Reckon Uncle Bobby will let us play if the strike goes ahead???? Oh, and I forgive you for taking the piss. You know not what you do.
