According to Club Call (yes i rang it up, that's how sad I am. Works phone though!) BR could be set to sign Cascaro (dunno about spelling) from Seville when the spanish transfer market opens.

I know nothing about Spanish football and I haven't heard of this bloke but he's a creative midfield player apparently. Anyone know anything of him and more importantly can he tackle, defend and attack effectively?

This was mentioned in a thread last weekend Lynda - I posted the story from the Sunday Sun, but can't recall on which thread.

From memory, he is more of a holding-type m/f player who has been around Primera Liga quite a while - he's 25 or 26 - but has been in good form this season. Apparently we've watched him twice, and he could be bought for around £3-4mm.

Unfortunately, I read another report on the net during the week where he said he was happy where he was and didn't want to move anywhere. Sorry!

Well that clubcall thing derives from teamtalk.com So all info you get when you ring up, can be obtained from the website. I woudln't say all the stories are 100% true but they dont just write pure rumours. They say if Bobby Robson has been watching or if a scout has been watching. They dont just say "Newcastle might sign ..." And most of the stories turn out to be true. Its a lot better than official websites or any other newcastle sites for information.

The Journal this morning reports we have been watching two Russian midfielders, playing with Locomotiv Moscow - Marat Ismailov and Dmitri Loskov.

The latter is about 28 and has been around for a while. Ismailov is a 19 year-old whizz-kid who is under scrutiny by lots of the top clubs, and apparently highly-rated by BR.

There is a suggestion that one or both could come to Tyneside on trial in December.
