What is the highest number of points a team could get relegated with and what is the lowest number of points you could win the league with?

Don't know but Sunderland hold records for being the team Relegated from the Premier league with the most points(40) and not promoted with the most (90) in 1998.

I suppose scoring 10 at Wembley in one match and still not winning is a record as well.

Let's assume all games are draws except Newcastle beating Sunderland. We would then win the league with 40 points... but actually if all games were draws you could win the league on goals scored with only 38 points.... so 38 is the lowest to win.

max to get relegated would be everyone beating the bottom 2 sides and winning half/losing half of the remaining games. So that's 20wins for 60 points and you could go down as 3rd bottom on goal difference
