G20 demonstration pix

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Leica Photography : One Thread

I've put up a page of pics from last weekend's G20 demonstrations in Ottawa up on my web site - look under "Photo Essays".

It was a pretty tame set of demonstrations overall, but a good photo-op nonetheless. At one point there were four Leica users standing grouped together at one side of a police cordon. Between us we had 6 M6's - I've never seen so much Leica gear out in public in my life.

The .58 with a 3E and a motor was absolutely ideal for this kind of shooting. The .85 with the 90 AA was used to get portrait-style shots of protestors and police. I took along a 135, but only used it for one shot. If I ever do this again, I'll get a motor for the second body (I love those little zippers) and lose the 135.

Everything was shot on Provia 400F - the Tri-X of slide films.

Anyway, enjoy - comments and critiques are welcome.

Hallo Paul,

thanks a lot for posting your impressions of the G20-demonstration.

Great photos! I especially liked the Playful Ptotesters department. Go through your other photographs as well a bit later.

Best wishes
