Of Lennox Lewis or Robbie Williams at the Albert, is there a reason?

saw robbie. man's a genius. unfortunately i was then forced into a couple of pints too many by the need to drown saturday afternoon sorrows and was snoring gently in the corner of the pub by the time the boxing started.

Pleased Lewis won, but boxing never spurred my imagination.

Williams is a Stokey twat.

I saw the boxing today - is that what you call the old fashioned 1-2?

I'd like to see Lewis, Tyson, Ali, Forman and Frazier Vs Williams.

The public never sees big fights these days due to the utter greed of those promoting the game. This is one major reason why the game has essentially disappeared as point of common interest.

Robbie Williams is a minor talent if a 'canny turn'. His show from the Albert Hall was pleasant enough - apart from the uneccessary and gratuitous foul language - but served to highlight his artistic limitations. He was actually much better on the few occasions when he avoided acting the clown.

Boxing is a barbaric anachronism. If it didn't already exist no-one would sanction the establishment of a sport in which the objective is to physically injure your opponent, a sport in which you gain an advantage by making another man's face bleed.

Williams is a smug twat who thinks that having recovered from drink and drugs addiction he's somehow more worldly-wise and deserving of adoration than those of us who weren't stupid enough to take the drugs in the first place and most of who's canon seems to be about how awful and shallow it is being a pop star, something that obviously doesn't pain him enough for him to actualy stop.

To the tune of 'here we go':
IMHO, IMHO, IMHO, IMHO, IMHO, IMHO-O

Didn`t see either, but my Mother, bless her, was really looking forward to hearing the favourites from her `hayday` sung by Robbie Williams. Needless to say, it was spoilt for her by `foul language` and `vulgar suggestions` - (her words, not mine). But I did feel sorry for her, she was truly disappointed. Obviously, he`s not worried about broadening his audience.(:o|

My mam taped it for my 7 year old niece, nice one Robbie, your industrial language went down a storm in Chez Smith. Twat.

Foul language was mentioned before the show which started after 9 p.m.

Not sure gratuitous violence was highlighted before Lewis fight

Lewis will alwyas be a tarnished champion having lost twice to 'lesser' fighters, not quite the same as Ali coming back to win title three times although beating Spinks was a bit of a dodgy comeback

Hey, it's all part of his cheeky chappie character! So anything's game for Robbie. Did hear one story that he went into the children's ward in a local hospital because 'he had nothing to do' and handed out presents to the ill kids. Don't know how true it all is, but it would seem his public persona is an unpleasant act, while he's alright deep down.

Thought the Jordan documentary was more interesting - her pretending to be a nobody working in a stables. Each day she progressively wore less clothing and increasingly sought the camera's attention. Vacuous and coarse with a dodgy top lip. Still, you would wouldn't you?

Robbie is an entertainer but does not come close to the real Rat Pack but watchable all the same.

Lennox Lewis took the edge off a real professional victory by gloating over "Hasbeen", no need really he'd just let his fighting do the talking. The whole match & re-match seemed to smell like an opportunity for a third title win and thats what the record books will read. I notifed big Frank is backing Tyson to beat Lewis when they get it on.

The BBS was down all day Sunday, hence no mention of Lewis fight. I love boxing and enjoy the thrice weekly thrill of getting put on my arse at the local boxing club here in Barca. Lewis, when he's focused, is IMHO one of the best heavyweights that there has been. Unfortunately, he's too inconsistent and mentally weak at times to be a great champion. On form though, he's a joy to watch.

Tyson, on form, will give him a hell of a fight. But it's been a long, long time since anyone saw an on-form Tyson... Steve's prediction - Lewis unanimous points win.

Oh, and Bruno is an absolute pudding who should stick to panto. He also predicted that Lewis would be quickly knocked out on Saturday...
