I loved 4H! My son wants to be in it soo bad! They wont even let him come to the meetings until he's 7! He cried all day! I am trying to start him out on some projects like they do in 4H.Do they have a hand book? I forget.Love the name!!!

Can you find a Clover's group for your son? They are pre-4H. My daughter loved the "Learning the 4H Way" book. Lots of different types of activities and very little writing.

Micheale: How about checking out Barnes and Noble on the net they might have something you are looking for pertaining to the 4H..Radar

Micheale: Don't spend a red cent on the 4 H books. Many are on the internet. What kinds of projects might he be interested in? Also, the 4H people would probably be happy to let you copy one, or a kid in 4H might let you do that. The books are very good and they explain things in kid terminology (mostly). I think it's wonderful that you would do this with him before he is 7!(PAT, PAT on your back).

He is interested in anything pertaining to animals. We are making squirrl feeders for everyone for christmas. And we started a little greenhouse which HE does all the watering and caring for. I am internet stupid, if it wasn't for Melissa telling me how to get to this forum I would still be aimlessly roaming through space, anyway, where would I look for information on the net. We do not know anyone in 4H here, so borrowing a book is out.Thank you for your help!!!!!!!!!!

A good place to look for information would be: http://www.4-h.org/ and there are many links from their pages. Hope that helps. Dave in NH
