Mellisa hers a recipe for Fudge with Cocoa Powder, its from Ble Ribbor Recipe book. I don't think I've tried it but everything else I try out of this book is good. I've read that cocoa is better for you,so need to try this myself. Chocolate Nut Fudge 2 cups sugar 4 T. cocoa 1/2 cup milk 3/4 cup white Karo 1/2 t. salt 2 T. butter 1 t. vanilla 1 1/2 pecans

Combine first 5 ingredients in a sauce pan and cook until mixture forms a soft ball when tried in cold water. Cool until tepid; add butter, vanilla and nuts. Beat until thick; pour into greased 8x10 pan. Cut into squares while still warm.

Thanks Jo, this is great because I have everything on the list! I make a type of fudge that uses chocolate chips, and marshmallow creme, but it can get expensive. I will calculate the cost between them and post it, when I get the chance. I will have to try this over the week-end and save some for Thanksgiving dessert.

I make microwave fudge. It is VERY easy! 6 TBSP butter (no substitutes)

1/4 C milk

1 lb. box 10X sugar

1/2C unsweetened cocoa

1 TBSP vanilla

1/4 tsp salt

Put butter and milk in microwave safe bowl. Nuke on HIGH for 1 1/2 to 2 minutes til butter is melted. Stir in remaining ingredients til smooth. Stir in 1 C nuts if desired. Spread into well buttered 9X5 loaf pan. Chill. Cut into squares.

I sometimes add 1/4 tsp almond flavor instead of vanilla. Enjoy!~~ from the other Jo!
