Amazing Race How Sweet the Sound (When Team Guido Gets Theirs)

greenspun.com : LUSENET : MATH Plus One : One Thread

Please tell me other people watch this and hate Team Guido as much as I do. Robyn, oh Bitchypoo, I know you watch, talk to me! I'm actually digging this more than Survivor right now.

Fuckin' Team Guido. I know Emily and Nancy (or Momily as the MBTV recapper refers to them, which cracks me up every time) consciously chose to not do the road block. But GOD. Team Guido consciously chose to fetter away their fast forward and they got in last. They were finally going to get what they deserve and my sweet Nancy leaves instead. She is the coolest mom ever. But what was with Emily's boobs in the exit interview? Sudddenly they were huge!

Anyone else think that counting the coins was just wasting time? They needed one per bowl. You either have too few, too many or just right. Drop and go, drop and GO!

I am seriously crushing on the Frat guys. They are just so down to earth and funny. Also bald and bald is sexy.

If Team Guido wins I am going to cry!

I tried to watch that show once, but it gave me an ulcer. Rush rush rush! I can't take the tension!

In the episode I saw, they were in Paris and this couple had engaged a cab but these two girls got in the cab with them and started bargaining with the driver. Before you knew it the driver had kicked the couple out and the girl half of the couple was so pissed she leaned in the door and screamed, "You're a FAT. BITCH!!!!" I was like, DAYAM! Right on! Say it like you mean it, girlfriend. The funniest part was, the fat bitch wasn't any fatter than the chick who had said it. She just needed a handy insult and bitch slapped her with that.

God, they just kept LAGGING AND LAGGING yesterday! God, the Fast Forward um, has some degree of traveling FAST involved in it, you morons! Doesn't mean you have all the time in the world. These guys are just too cocky for their own good, and I'm amazed it hasn't really bitten them in the butt yet.

ok, i am so glad that someone else noticed that about emily's boobs. i mean, they were seriously huge. did she go through puberty again on the show...or what?

anyhow, off the boob subject, i also hate team guido. they are vicious and i can't believe they were so close to losing. augh. i've been a frat guy fan since the first episode..."swing you fat bastard." i love them.

Hoping someone else is watching Season 2! I love Chachacha.

"Believe it or not, I'm window shopping!"

Oh, I loooooove Cha-Cha-Cha. Even more for finishing first in that segment.

I'm not going to miss Gary and Dave -- they only made me miss Drew and Kevin all the more. "Swing, ya fat bastard . . . " Sigh.

Totally with you on the Cha-cha-cha love! They are great, and I was so happy for them taking the higher road to remove themselves from the ugly team in-fighting. I used to like Gary and Dave but they have really been getting on my last nerve lately (especially Gary, the Woody Allen wannabe), so I was not too sad to see them go. No one can ever replace Kevin & Drew, "You are a cheeseburger away from 250"...they were the best. And, what a nice surprise to have a double episode on last night!

Y'all, a girl I work with and her boyfriend are applying to audition for this show. And they are totally, TOTALLY going to get on it, I know.

It's just so great. I wish I'd watched it last season. My mom is in love with it. I call her after each episode and she just giggles and giggles. It's terrific.

Last night she was like - The brother and sister are okay! And I'm not going to be too sorry to see to those young men go. And (whispering) I even love the two young gay men!

I really am rooting for Blake and Paige. He's so bumbling, but she seems to have the best attitude yet. I haven't heard her say one negative thing.

You know, at first, I did not like Blake and Paige (the Smileys) because there was one incident where they elbowed in front of someone in line or something. But, I definitely like them better than Will & Tara and Chris & Alex. Blake and his suit jacket cracks me up everytime he wears it. However, my money to win it all is on Cha-cha-cha...nothing would make me happier. I loved that they had all the other teams wondering where they were.

Am I the only one who doesn't think that Blake and Paige make out when the cameras aren't looking? The TWoP boards seem to have them pegged as too close for comfort, and I was groaning as Blake made his "If I could find a girl just like my sister, I'd marry her" comment, but I think it's just that they're as crazy about each other as two people in a nonsexual relationship can be. To put it this way: I can see my best male friend making a similar speech.

Whew. I was so worried that Team Cha^3 was going to get it. I love them. And I also think that it was really smart of Blake and Paige to go for the Fast Forward. Hopefully they bought themselves serious time.

But this also means Tara&Wil can still use it, and that's unfortunate because I'd like to see them go next.

I fell off the couch laughing when Cha^3 bungee jumped...how freakin' cute are they? And, could Will/Tara/Chris/Alex be any meaner with the holding up the plane departure action? I mean, it was a good tactic but it reminded me of the Guidos in Season 1 blocking the boarding area from Momily, etc. which made me seeth in anger. (Yes, the Guido hate still reins strong in my heart)

Oh, and I literally sat there applauding when Phil told Cha^3 that this was not an elimination leg...phew...I was so scared that they were gone.

-- Anonymous, May 02, 2002

Boo! They are. I was very sad to see ChaChaCha go, but they are so gracious and wonderful. Love them. "I would never mess up a glitter shirt!"

Now I'm totally behind Blake&Paige. And why did they need to include that she asked him for a shoulder rub? They totally want us to think they're creepy when they're not. Go Texas!

I am on the Blake and Paige boat as well...everyone else has played so dirty that I just can't bring myself to root for them. 2 hour season finale next week!

-- Anonymous, May 09, 2002

If Tara and Wil had won I would've kicked and screamed.

Yay Boston! (Even though I was rooting for Blake and Paige.)

Whew. Now I'm tired.

Will was such an incredible asshole! I was so glad that no one caved and gave him the lost clue, although I did feel a little sorry for Tara. And then, when he took Chris/Alex down that dead end road in an attempt to shake them - what a moron! I was hoping that the Smileys might pass all of them while they were stuck at the end of that road and come out the winner. Alas, I was so glad that Chris/Alex beat Will/Tara out in the foot race because, like Tara, I did not want to see Will get one penny of that money.

After Will and Tara had that fireside argument where she said that she did not want him to win any money, I started to wonder whether maybe Tara had made an alliance with Chris/Alex. Like maybe they had offered her $100K to throw the race in their favor. But then again, maybe I have just been watching too much RR/RW Challenge.
