Serial Number Location Elamr 5 cm?

Where is the serial number located on a pre-war 5 cm f/3.5 Elmar?

Also, how do you use the old f/stop markings - 12 , 18 ect?

Thanks!

As for how to use the old f-stops: the numbers mean exactly the same thing as modern ones, only they put the tick marks in different places. So to set f/16, you put it somewhere between f/12 and f/18. Very easy to do, since the elmar has no click-stops.

The old series are in fact 1/3-stop offset from ours, so f/12 is 1/3 stop less light than f/11 etc. (I'm pretty sure it's that way around, although I'm tired...)
