I see NUFC's former employee is being linked with some players: G Caldwell, McClen, Green, Kerr, Coppinger could all be loaned to Oldham. The Ronnie interestingly mentions the part Waddy played in bringing Basedas here.

I'd keep Caldwell but I'd take £1m apiece for the McClen, Kerr & Coppinger. Green I like at stiff level, and I'd like to see him in a winning team at SJP, when it must be a sheer pleasure to be a footballer. I don't know how he'd cope playing in a sh*te team with the crowd on his back. He's nice and neat without being anything special, I'd like to see how he'd get on. I'd play him ahead of Basedas who has had a chance and has been found wanting.
