Okay, this should be fun! name your favorite song and whose rendition was it? I'll name mine. It is "I Can't Stop Loving You" by Ray Charles. it came out in the late 50's or early 60's. I love that some by anyone, but to me Ray sang it best!

Ooohhh.. I've got so many! The first one that popped into my head was "Run Through The Jungle" by CCR. My 4 year old just loves it, but can't quite get a grip on the lyrics. She insists on singing, "Better run through the jungle, run through the jungle, run through the jungle, and don't lose your bag of seeds." ;-)

My grandson, Alex and I love "Oh Bla Dee, Oh Bla Dah" by the Beatles. When I hear that on the radio I'll call him and hold the phone up to the radio for him to hear.

Wishing you enough.

"I needed someone" by Johnny Mathis. Although I was a child of the 60's, my first love dedicated this song to me at a school dance. I was 16 and he was the 22 year old chaperone (be still my heart). I was madly in love and the words to this song are soooooooooo romantic.."Warm as the May wine, wild as the sea; these are the feelings you waken in me. I've had my moments and a dream or two; but I needed someone all the time, and all the time it was you"....sigh....we dated for four years and then he went off and became a priest!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Never knew if it was something I did or something I didn't do.....LOL

Well i haven't listened to the radio in a long long time because of the affect that some of the music was having on my thoughts, but i ADORE MUSIC. And just lately i have borrowed a sound track from a movie. The song i really like is called COME WHAT MAY.. i think its a remake of it though. but its a beautiful song. I used to like IRIS, googoodolls, and Life our lady peace. BUt i really like the christian singer Michael W smith, he wrote a song for the columbine shooting, called THis is your time> That is probably my favorite song now.

There is absolutely no way I could ever hope to answer this unless I broke it down to style and decade; then I might narrow it down to my top 100, but even that would be pushing it! My husband has gotten to the point that he just writes down a snippet of lyrics if he finds a song he likes, or hears an old one he hasn't heard in awhile. Then he brings it home to me and asks what it is and who sings it! I can remember all that useless stuff, if I could just remember where I put my car keys!

I'm giving away my age with this answer----just about any songs from the early 50's. High on the list ON THE STREET WHERE YOU LIVE.
