Does anyone have the Leica code for the Elmar/Hektor 3.5/5/9/13.5 lens hood (Black/chrome)-friction fit on lens?

OOPs, the IUFOO is a later hood than the one you asked about. It is for the various 90mm and 135mm vintage 39mm filter size lenses.Sorry.

FIKUS

This is the sliding adjustable hood known as FIKUS. There are pictures and descriptions of the varieties of this lenshood in a recent Viewfinder by Jim Lager. Most FIKUS hoods are marked only for 5-9-13.5 cm, and they can be used only on older (screwmount) lens with A36 front ring size. The FIKUS is NOT useable on bayonet mount lenses.

Only some of the earliest FIKUS hoods have engravings for 3.5 cm (Elmar), 50/2.0 Hektor, and/or 50/2.0 Summar (early type). These hoods have a black paint outer tube and a nickel inner tube and screws. The later FIKUS hoods are black/chrome. The very last hoods say 036 and are engraved in mm (ie., 50-90-135) rather than cm.

Except for the earliest black/nickel version, FIKUS hoods usually sell for about $ 80 and are a good investment if you use the older A36 type lenses.
