What are the characteristics of the Telyt 200mm 4.0 used with Visoflex III on an M6? What do you think of it?

The 200 Telyt is a decent enough performing lens, albeit somewhat low contrast at maximum aperture, but I never found it terribly useful. 200mm doesn't give me significantly more reach than 135mm, which is infinitely more comfortable on the M. The first tele I'd bother to use on the VISO is the 280, and frankly the only one I own is the 400/6.8.

Diane: I own an M6, Viso III, 280 f:4.8 and 400 f:6.8 but not the 200. The Viso II and Viso III work on the M6, and supposedly NOT on the TTL. The 280 has a conventional focus, as does the 200, but doesn't focus smoothly unless supported at the front of the lens. The front of the lens appears to be too heavy for the focus mount to carry the weight smoothly. I do not know if the 200 is in the same catagory. My 280 is low in contrast, and that could be it's age, but I don't think so. The metering with the M6 and a Viso is very ackward at best, but can be done. I prefer the Viso to my R4 in general, so, give it a try.

The Visoflex 2 and 3 work fine on a TTL as long as you use the 16499 prism that came with the Visoflex 3 (or the vertical one). The 16460/OTXBO prism that came with the Visoflex 2 will not clear the TTL top plate. I have used both with no problems.
