It sort of makes me nervous when people compare any marginalized group to race, although I can see her point and why she did it, since Meredith mentioned that the woman was Hispanic. That one little comment, that I didn't even think twice about, allowed a door to the race vs. fat argument.

I think someone else could argue that it is still acceptable to make jokes about ANY group in our soceity. People do it all the time.

Yeah, it was more about how Meredith said "stay out of NYC", but it was really caustic, as Dana is wont to be. But then Meredith wrote her back, and Dana told me, "Your friend made me feel bad! I never feel bad!" Hee.
