Quote of The Day

"Terry McAuliffe is a certifiably silly man."

-- Fred Barnes, Fox News Network

Welcome back beautiful big bird

Taking out the Trash: This New York Post piece on the pathetic end of the Democrats New York mayoral campaign is a bit convoluted for those who didn't live through it but it is important because of a sad sack ex-President's sorry involvement. This is truly the coffee grinds and egg shells of a power grab gone bonkers. And, it all got dumped on Hillary's front lawn.

To Horse of Course: Stories about the Northern Alliance riding horseback into battle are morphing into stories of them actually charging tanks and armored vehicles. Sounds terribly uncuttable for the horses to us and we are trying to figure out why anyone in their right mind would do that. We've seen no pictures of this bizarre behavior so will remain our usual skeptical selves over the entire business.

Slavery Made Him Do It: Speaking to a group of apparently enraptured Georgetown University students Clinton said slavery in America's history was why bin Laden attacked us.........or something like that. It's hard to figure out this man's ravings. Let's hope he finds that Columbia intern soon so he can get calmed down.

Where are the Wimmin? Paul Farhi at the Washington Post is concerned that we are getting our war news from predominantly white males and wonders why more women aren't informing us about weaponry, throw weight, bombs and the history of war. Maybe its because all people care about now is the news and not what a talking head has going on anatomically under the desk. Frankly, we never found listening to Madeleine Albright terribly reassuring.

Real Woman Rising: If journalists truly want to know the kind of women we want to hear from, they need look no further than the lady John Fund writes about this a.m., Winsome Earle Sears, black, Republican and a winner. Seeing women jawing on TV is not nearly as important as seeing someone like Mrs. Sears getting it done.
