It's only a year since that new Barca president was saying that they would never sign another English player because it never works (I think it was in the context of Beckham actually). If they really think this, then you can only assume they are doing the Real Madrid trick of buying players they don't need or want just because it brings in merchandising revenue.

It wouldn't surprise me if Beckham went to Barcelona. Man Utd are in free fall at the moment compared to their supposed title rivals, and although they have every chance of regaining the points, they have Arsenal and Chelsea coming up soon. Two defeats and they can basically kiss the title goodbye. Beckham isn't a Manchester lad so there's no factor of staying with the team you supported as a boy.Wouldn't surprise me the slightest if he went abroad, whether it is Barcelona, Milan or Lazio

Since when do you have to be a Manchester boy to support Manchester United???? I believe Man U are the team Beckhams supported as a boy. Wonder if the missus will get a say in his eventual destination?
