He's a pacy, tackling, play switching midfielder, £15m is about the asking price in today's mad world.

If we can get him for £8m it will be a decent deal, although it's still a risk, the Dutch league isn't exaclty the best in the world

Robert was 10 million. Emerton is twice the player Robert is. Robert is a winger give him the ball he runs at defenders then crosses. The extras are his free kicks. Emerton will do this also, albeit on the right. He will also sit in central midfield, pass to create openings, run all day, tackle back and score goals.

Do not misunderstand, I am not a huge fan of his. He is a very talented player, however the market price for a good central midfielder will always be higher than that of a winger of similar quality. Ajax is to world football what Crewe is to England. They have the best talent identification set up and development bar none. I am sure that is their core business. The way they show and deliver the goods to the market is through the team.
