the catapolt swings its arms on a spring system. It builds up torque or power the stronger the spring,and the further you stretch the spring. you need wood, heavy duty spring, hinge, hooks

A catapolt can work in many ways. It can work using a bent piece of wood, ropes, or manpower. You need wood, bolts, rope, and a lot of spare time

The catapolt swings from a counter wieght at the oposite side of the swing arm. A joint at the ataching point of the swing arm alows you to move the swing arm so you can reload you catapolt.
