Local attempt at something

Hi Everyone, I just wanted to tell everybody about what happened here. I live in WV, about 35 miles from Charleston which is our Capitol. The area there is called the "chemical valley" of the world. I don't know how it's ranked now but it used to be on a list of the 5 top places to be attacked. Theres Dow, Carbide, DuPont, Rhone Poulenc and probably more. Anyway, all those places are located along the Kanawha river and part of them are on an island in the middle. A security guard noticed a suspicious dark skinned man in a restricted area. She went to confront him and he hit her in the head and took off running towards the riverbank. She got up and chased him all the way to the water, where he jumped into a speed boat driven by another guy. This follows an alert we are having about a fake Coast Guard boat thats been lurking around the same area over the last few days. The real Coast Guard are now staying pretty close and there is an order to shoot at will if the plants are threatened. My dad used to work at Carbide yrs ago and says they have cut back on the number of chems. they produce now, but I heard a report the other day about 28 of the top 30 worst ones still being there. Scary. Just thought it was worth repeating because this is a very quiet place to live, rural, not much happens here even in the city parts. What I mean is...you guys should look around your areas and ask yourself if theres anything which a terrorist might be interested in. Take care, interested in whats going on with all.

Hmmm. I am very glad the security guard wasn't seriously hurt!

The only weird thing around here is six miles of railroad auto transport cars being stored on a track that was purchased to make a line from here to megaopolis (Austin). The explanation is that auto sales are down so transport is down and it just is a convenient place to store them.
