Flu Shots

The museum and the world are a buzz with the talks of flu shots. Do you think they are really a good idea. We're having a state employee flu shot day and I was wondering if it's worth the trouble.

Mindy, I'm not really going to advise against it but I will say that every time I get one, I get sick!

I got mine! Specifically, because I have other health challenges. I get bronchitis easily and also have heart complications. the doctor recommended it for me. Sure wish DH would have gotten one!

I've never gotten one, but hubby always does. I'm trying to get Eldest, who's away at college, to get one, since the flu is bound to go around there(and goodness knows he won't have time for it!;)

Get your flu shots folks, the anthrax mimics flu, that way you would know the symptom was not flu, and could be something worse.Irene

Got ours. My doc told me that I was at high risk. At first, I thought he was telling me I was old. Imagine that. lol I quit coloring my grey-streaked hair long ago, so I guess I look older than my 46 years. But after a while, I realised he was telling me this because I'm battling insulin resistance. My hubby works for the Post Office, so they recommended it also to rule out the Anthrax thing. I'd get it, just for that mental comfort alone.

I'm not positive that the two are connected, but when I was a child I always got my flu shots. Now, as an adult, I don't get shots any more, but I never get the flu. I have to admit, I am considering getting my shot this year because of the whole anthrax thing.
