greenspun.com : LUSENET : Country Families : One Thread

O.K. Stumpees here we go: What American product; now a $30,000,000.00 dollars per year industry, started out and was introduced to the public in a 2 inch by 18 inch size model? This product is still available, most likely you have some in your house but in different sizes now.

How about a folding yardstick....but I can't imagine there being that much money in it.

Maybe kleenex or toilet paper.

Where are all the puzzle junkies? I see this one is going nowhere but your in the right kind of neighborhoods, kids. You might have a few of these in your purse right now.~

I guess I need to soften this thing a bit more; this porduct fixes things but I would not put it in a tool catagory.~

super glue?

Your hinta are making it harder, not easier!!!!!!!!! duct tape?????

-- Melissa (me@home.net), November 05, 2001.

because you said soften, and fixing things up, plus the idea of having one in the purse. I have a guess, but i'd seriously embarrased if i was wrong. I'm actually pretty positive i know what it is. but a safer guess, that i'm sure to be wrong...miracles do still happen. Is a battery.

OK OK OK , i have another guess, would it be lipstick??? if not, i'm really not sure.

Several of us here think it's duct tape or some other tape. How about about fabric softener sheets or masking tape.

LOOK OUT Mitch, the puzzle sharks are closing in!

-- mitch hearn (moopups@citlink.net), November 05, 2001.

Two things that always seem to be in my purse that I have used for a variety of things are paper clips and bandaids.......seems I remember something about a paper clip first being made from a coat hanger(?) but the bandaid is the soft one....although I have never seen one that big.

-- Lacey (cddllt@webtv.net), November 05, 2001.

In the above post there is the correct answer, Lacey it is bandaids; one warmand fuzzy comming up! Also I see the first example of connected thinking, bridging between my posts for the hints in a two step mannor. I am sure others of you have thought this way but this is the first example that has been sounded out or put before the group, Jillian, it looks like you play well with others!
