Prayers for new Senator Rev.Dr. Leonard Santucci

greenspun.com : LUSENET : A.M.E. Today Discussion : One Thread

Today the Rev.Dr. Leonard Santucci was sworn in as a member of the Senate in Bermuda. He has moved from the full time employment of the Bermuda College and is the first (I believe) Professor of Religion at the Bermuda College. With our prayers he, like all of our countries leaders, can serve both God and the people to the best of his abilities. Please pray for this new political representative in Bermuda.

Congratulations to Senator Santucci!! It is often said, with some degree of cynicism, that politicians and preachers make for strange bedfellows. This caricature should be resisted. There have been numerous examples where preachers have distinguished themselves as effective legislators. Based on his postings on this BB, I'm sure Rev. Santuccii will continue this trend. If I can be of any assistance to you or the fine people of Bahama Isle please don't hesitate to contact me. Afterall, we are we do share the same Episcopal District. QED

Errata:

My prior post made reference to Bahama Ise when it should have been directed at Bermuda. Many thanks to J. Payne for pointing out my identification error. QED

Please allow me to express my thanks and appreciation to the people who comprise the Village called Bermuda and to my AME Church family across the Connection who have shared words of encouragement with me. I am grateful that the Leader of the United Bermuda Party, Dr. Grant Gibbons, saw something in me that convinced him that this preacher could be used of God on this lavel. since saying yes on Nov. 1 and being sworn in on Nov. 2 I have not been able toslow down. My days have gotten longer and my nights shorter, but I praise the Lord any how.

Pray for me that I may be found doing the things God has for me to do.
