I have a Leica IIIc or IIIf serial #470,xxx together with a 50mm f/2 Summitar lens serial# 669,xxx. According to manufacturing dates/serial#, the camera is a 1948 model IIIC, however it has flash sync/black dial and shutter speeds of 1000,500,200,100,60,40,30,20,15,10,4,2,1,T,B. The lens is 1948 production also. Records show the IIIf as a 1950 introduction. What do I have here?

It was fairly common back then for people to send their camera back to Leica for an upgrade after a newer model came out with desirable features. You see often cameras for sale described as "IIIC converted to IIIF".
