Quote of The Day

Jaw Dropper of the Week:

"As we get good reports from Taliban-controlled Afghanistan, we must redouble our efforts to make sure we do not seem to be simply reporting from their vantage or perspective. "

--CNN Chairman Walter Isaacson advising his correspondents on fairness and balance in reporting.

"We don't give up. Until the final out is made, we think we can win."

--Derek Jeter, The New York Yankees

Strike coming up

W's Double Take: Our picture yesterday had W rethinking his position on the Yankees and apparently that's just what he's doing according to his press secretary. If last night's extraordinary game didn't seal his loyalty nothing will. What a team! What a town!

Who's The Fool? As the lawyers say - "I'd like to associate myself with these remarks." Richard Cohen, yes that Richard Cohen, goes to bat for Ashcroft and Meuller for warning us once again of the simple fact that someone is trying to kill us.....kill us all.

For an interesting advance on what they knew that we didn't check our Jerry Seper's piece in this morning's Washington Times.

Pesky "Little People" - Hillary Clinton still doesn't get it. Whether stiffing a waitress in an upstate diner to ignoring an airport guard injured by her driver while she nattered on a cell phone, she just goes grandly on her way. Thanks to the New York Post another outrage will not go ignored.

What Goes Around Comes Around: Kudos also to the New York Post and the Drudgereport for hammering another liberal elitist, ABC honcho David Westin for his obscene concept of journalism. Drudge, dissed by ABC earlier this year, and Rush Limbaugh blocked by Westin from doing Monday night football, teamed up on air yesterday to squeeze Westin into a speedy apology.

Ldotter Note: Those of you familiar with this site know our close and gleefully conspiratorial relationship with Matt Drudge and the Drudge report so it is in all good spirit that we request our posters to check the board before posting a news flash from that site. Ldotters are faster than striking snakes and post his news within seconds. Just because it's news to you doesn't mean it isn't already here. Relieve the stress on Igor's deleting fingers and do not over post.
