Hoot my friend, you are in our prayers here.

-- Eric in TN (eric_m_stone@yahoo.com), November 01, 2001.

Hoot, you are definitely in the prayers of my family. Praise the Lord we know where this life will end, thanks to our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. Thank you for all the wisdom you have taken time to impart to us here on this forum and others. Thank you for the time you spent e-mailing my son. To God be the Glory!! I know that not only can God heal, he has already healed the most important thing for you and me. Our sinful heart! Next to that there is nothing our fleshly bodies can throw at us. The one thing that the unforgiven sinner cannot comprehend is the peace of knowing where you will spend eternity. We are all here but for a moment in time. So many are wasting that time. I only hope that they will find true healing before it is too late. Whether we drive by an accident, or watch a building full of people fall to the ground, we must recognize that there but for the grace of God go we. The person who does not believe in God chooses not to do so, because the evidence of him is clearly seen. All those people who got out of those two towers. We saw a miracle that day. Some would say it was a tragedy, but I saw a miracle. I am saddened for the loss of those who died, but God was there protecting those who lived. He was there to receive to himself all those who knew him. I am remind of that old hymn. "It could happen in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye. It could happen in a moment my Lord and I." That moment is the moment that we stand before the Creator of the Universe. For some that moment will be the last they know of goodness. For others it will be the beginning of eternal Joy. Praise God I am ready for that moment. Praise God for your profession that you are ready too. One thing we know, all men will stand face to face with their Saviour, and know that they had the chance to know him. For God's word says they are without excuse. There won't be a person who stands before Jesus that doesn't deserve the condemnation of Sin. Some will be forgiven and will have accepted his forgiveness. Some will have been offered forgiveness and will have rejected it. Either way all men know that God exists deep inside their hearts. The evidence is clearly seen! Athiests are ultimately liars. They say they don't believe because they have chosen not to, not because they don't know that God is real. People make many choices in life. They see a tree grow from a bit of nothing into a mighty oak and it says God, but they choose to believe two proteins got together in the ocean. They see the sun and moon and the stars flung as far as we can see, and it says God, but they choose Big Bang Theory. They see a baby born and it says God, but they choose evolved monkey. We all know and we all choose. We love you Hoot.

Comfort, blessing and healing be yours, Hoot. And as the Bible so often says, "Fear not."

Way back in 1965 when I was a student nurse, I had a patient who had advanced cancer of the uterus. She was scheduled for a hysterectomy and a multiple node biopsy the next morning. When I went to get her on the stretcher to take her to the O.R., the nurses warned me that she was "in denial" because she had told all of them (and her doc) the night before that God had healed her..for the glory of His name. "How sad" they all said, that she believed such a thing. Once in the Operating room, she was draped and prepped and opened up...nothing was there...the doc at first ranted and raved that I had brought up the worng woman...nope, her name tag checked out. He demanded to see her x-rays again..yup..there it was, a tumor the size of a baseball..and yup, there was the biopsy report as well....the doc stood there and talked aloud to himself..."I KNOW that tumor was there! I felt it myself!". The entire OR staff was thunderstruck when the doc finally told everyone what the patient had told him the night before.."God has cured me." The tumor was gone, the enlarged lymph nodes had disappeared..there was nothing at all wrong with this woman. Off she went back downstairs. I think the surgeon went for a stiff drink before he spoke with her husband..we were all bothe thrilled and amazed......just as your doc will be Hoot! God bless.

Hoot, I'll be keeping you and your doctors in prayer. I had hoped for better news, but God knows all things, and you are safe in His almighty hands. You have been a blessing to me, Lord willing you will be one for a long time yet!

love in Christ, Kathleen

Thinking of how little God really asks of us to be saved by him. Great miracles can come from even a few whispers of prayer. God bless you, I know what faith can accomplish. Will pray for you!

-- Kathy (kack@countrylife.net), November 02, 2001.

Hoot, I'm joining in prayer for you! I haven't checked the board in a couple of days so I'm late but I'll make up for it. lol I hope all is going well and I know the Great Healer and Comforter will be with you. I love it when God shows the doctors up!
