Today, 31-10-01 is the 50th birthday of the zebra crossing. They apparently reduced deaths by 7% when they came out. Happy birthday zebras.

I just feel sorry for that first Zebra that fell asleep in the middle of the road. Mind, nice to see some good came out of his premature demise ;-)
