Hi all. I recognises some of you from the Countryside forum and thought I would come visit. Today I have two questions. #1 One of my turkeys gets bubbles in its eye. What is up with that? Kinda ooky. #2 is this : What do you do when there is something in your woodstove's chimney( to clarify..its something alive and sounds rodenty)? The answer I am getting from hubby and neighbors is "burn it out!!" Any thoughts anyone??

Answers

take the cap off, let it out on its own? open the flue, and let the dogs/cats chase it around the house, get some welding gloves, or heravy leather ones, open the flew and pounce on it

Thanks for the input, Stan. Hubby got his way and the chimney had roasted critter last night. To get at it we would have had to dismantle the chimney and as Richard (hubby) put it "That is NOT going to be happening!!"

But Bob, me darlin', Thanksgiving has been and gone here in the Great White North for about a month now. It sure looks odd to look at the turkey and then see he has bubbles foaming out of his eye. Maybe its a sinus/tear duct malfunction? Do turkeys have tear ducts??LOL
