Lolo speaks - he's got flu again and more...

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Unofficial Newcastle United Football Club BBS : One Thread

1. We tried calling you yesterday but you were in bed. What was the problem?

I've got flu again. I had a temperature of 40 degrees and had an awful night's sleep. I don't know when I'll be fit but I'll be back in training as soon as I'm able. I think it's because I'm tired - I had to go to my grandfather's funeral and have had a couple of games since then..I'm sure there's a connection.

2. You had a great away win once again on Saturday.

Yes, we really had to win to stay towards the top of the table. I think we deserved the win although Everton created a lot of chances. We aren't complaining, though! I was trying to help out in defence and didn't do that much going forward although I had a hand in the final goal. In any event, all that matters is that we got three points.

3. What's the problem at home?

I'm not sure. I think we put too much pressure on ourselves at home by trying to please the public by playing nice football. We have to be tougher at home or we are going to find ourselves in trouble.

4. You plau leaders Aston Villa on Saturday..

Yes, I know - things are tight in the Championship and I really hope we start to play as well as we have been away from home.

5. You had a fight with Andy Griffin...

As I have said, training can be quite tough in England and there can be scraps. It was nothing malicious, though.

Last bit to follow.

SuperKev, your sadness knows no bounds: why are you reading this?

6. You aren't in the French squad. How do you feel about that?

I saw on the telly last night that I hadn't been picked. Everyone wants to play for their country but you can't let yourself be too disappointed about not being selected. Everything is going well at my club and my manager is happy with me: that's the most important thing so I'm not going to make a drama out of not being picked.

7. In the Sunday papers, Luis Fernandez (PSG coach) said that Nicolas Anelka was a great lad, unlike you...

Really, he said that? Laughs then says, I think the journalist was having a laugh because Fernandez is always really delighted to see me. See you soon.
