Was October the longest month ever or what?

Answers

I hadn't really thought about it, but you're right, H. It seems like it lasted forEVah.

Where y'all at?

-- Anonymous, October 30, 2001

Herro?

-- Anonymous, October 30, 2001

I'm here.

How's your day? What hours do you work?

-- Anonymous, October 30, 2001

Good! I got some sleep last night. Feel better.

I work 8:30 - 5. Or whenever. It's very relaxed here.

Where is everybody?

When is the Superbowl? Has it been moved to February 3?

-- Anonymous, October 30, 2001

Why would they move it? When is Mardi Gras this year?

-- Anonymous, October 30, 2001

Hey, fools.

Oh, how I would love to go to Mardi Gras. Man. I would tie one on in the biggest damn way. Maybe we'll go. Hell, why not, you know?

I love me some MATH, y'all. I know we never see each other, but I truly value all your friendships. Now I'm talking like a drunk guy at a party, but it makes me feel better knowing y'all are out there, and anything that makes me feel better right now is a very good thing, because I feel like ass to the nth power.

The thing about Bill Lowe was, he loved to have a good time with his friends. And what I realized at his memorial service was that one of the most profound things he taught me was that friends are so very important. Now, he also taught me to never answer the phone when it rings, so you can be mad at him about that, but he really did show me what it meant and how important it was to be pals with a lot of different groups of people.

I have so many close friends. I mean, really. Some people have a bunch of friends that they're not super close to, and I'm not like that and that is of great relief to me.

Anyway. I'm glad about that.

Sorry for getting all "I love you, Man!"

Aw, man. I love you, Arrison Rowe.

-- Anonymous, October 30, 2001

Dude! I love you too, man!

Seriously, Allison, I'm glad to be counted as one of your friends.

And did your receptionist give you my phone message from this morning? Do you have a computer yet?

Oh - they moved the Superbowl because the whle NFL schedule was pushed back one week. They had to swing a big switch with the NADA, and the krewes were pissed because now the Sperbowl conflicts with the start date of all the parades (MG is early this year- Feb. 12, I think)

-- Anonymous, October 30, 2001

Aw, I love you too Al!

Well, I want to go to sxsw again this year, and since mg is really early, it might be possible to do both.

Yay!

AB - why didn't any of you guys want to write about, or even mention, the weekend?

-- Anonymous, October 30, 2001

I don't know--I felt weird about it, and didn't want any crazy talk about Omar coming to visit so soon after JCon and the whole sleeping together rumor thing starting, so I didn't. Tracy is, though. I'm pretty sure Omar won't.

-- Anonymous, October 30, 2001

And yes, October is the LONGEST month. And I am po. I want the month to end so I can have some kiz-ash.

-- Anonymous, October 30, 2001

Wait - is there actually a real sleeping together rumor? I am out of the loop, I fear.

-- Anonymous, October 30, 2001

There was a very tiny one at JournalCon about me, Omar, and Emily getting it on that first night, but it was very quickly dropped.

-- Anonymous, October 30, 2001

Oh, come on! How could anyone take that seriously?

Silly journalconners.

-- Anonymous, October 30, 2001

No, I asked because in her update she mentioned how she had a great weekend but couldnt' and didn't want to talk about it.

-- Anonymous, October 30, 2001

Ah. I rea the update, but I haven't checked my hotmail yet.

-- Anonymous, October 30, 2001

Oh, I don't know why she did that. She's weird. She probably doesn't want anybody to know that we played the craziest, most secret game of "I Never", ever, and now we know all her secrets. Heh.

-- Anonymous, October 30, 2001

Maybe she doesn't want any Omar/Tracy rumors to start.

I love playing I Never. It's so juvinile, but I love it.

I was thinking last night how no one's been updating, but then a lot of people updated today, so yay!

Al - do you have a computer now?

-- Anonymous, October 30, 2001

I'm the worst speller EVAH! juvinle?

-- Anonymous, October 30, 2001

I know! I haven't played that since, like, 1989. It was fun.

-- Anonymous, October 30, 2001

Never play it with your sisters, is all I'm saying.

-- Anonymous, October 30, 2001

Ha!

Yeah, especially if you're Teri.

-- Anonymous, October 30, 2001

Hellllloooooo?

Mike is on nights again?

-- Anonymous, October 30, 2001

L_L me at 5 o'clock!

-- Anonymous, October 30, 2001

I'm working, here! But in anhour I will meet Allison and we will drink hot chocolate. Because hot chocolate is definitely the cousin for me.

You know what's wrong with hot chocolate?

Nothing!

And after that, I'm going to volunteer, because I've been a slack-ass volunteer and I am feeling the guilt in a heavy way.

It was the type of conversation that resonantes and echos in your psycho hours, days, maybe even years later amidst the realization that you never truly know anyone anywhere.

From Meloonsa's update. Methinks she meant to say psychE.

-- Anonymous, October 30, 2001

Nah - she's the psycho. It echoes in herself. She's her very own psycho.

HOW did she make it through law school with those shoddy spelling skills?

-- Anonymous, October 30, 2001

Hee. That made me laugh though.
