I need suggestions for the smallest, padded, fanny pack to hold an M6 w/a 35 'lux and hood, with perhaps an extra roll of film or two. A good minimulist fanny pack. Suggestions appreciated! Bob Stevens

I've been meaning to check out one of the Eagle Creek packs, like this one. It doesn't look as much like a fanny pack, but can be used as one, or a shoulder bag. (A recent NYT article counted fanny packs along with tennis shoes, t-shirts, etc., that shout "American tourist" outside the US...).I use a LowePro Nova Micro which is big enough for an M6 35 'Cron w/o hood and a 90 Elmarit. The 90 only fits in the front unpadded pocket, so it's far from ideal. I added a waist strap.

I use the LowePro Photo run.http://www.lowepro.com/images/PPages/Bag_pack/lrgclr/PhotoRun.jpg
It holds my Leica stuff and I used it in Italy carring 2 Hasselblad lenses and a spare A12 back.

I second the Lowepro Camera Pocket. Perfect for rangefinder cameras. You can easily fit the M6, 35 'lux and hood, plus another lens or two, film and even a few small accessories...all in an extremely compact bag.If you have a long shirt or jacket on, you can't even see the thing.

The Camera Pocket looks perfect to fit the bill! Thanx for the input and the LowePro site.
