Anita.... thank you so so much. I will print this out to keep. I was stuck in the country with a really sick dog and calling all the neighbors and asking which type of aspirin was I NOT supposed to give her. I got 4 different answers. Why do all those emergencies happen when I am 50 miles from the closest vet and even then they are closed? My vet also recommended 1/2 tablet of the OTC Melatonin to calm her when she gets petrified of thunder storms.

I have a Schnauzer that I keep in the house. He was 7mo. old when we got him, (stunk to high heaven). Even after bathing him his odor would come back by the next day. I started giving him 1 capsule of COLOSTRUM every morning. It's been about 3 weeks now. I haven't bathed him in about one and onehalf weeks and his odor is going away. Also its good for the immune system. My outside dog lost her litter of puppies. Caused her to stress out. She started loosing her hair and eyes would matt up. I gave her one benadryl and 2 capsules of Colostrum (500mg.) a day. Within one week she started looking better. Within a month she had all her hair back. Colostrum capsules are for people. My husband and I also take it.

Sorry, don't mean to sound like an add. But this stuff is good.

Very handy. I'll keep it close by. Tell me more about the Colostum!

The colostrum is just what it sounds like. The first milking from cows. They prosess it and put it in capsules. I but mine at a health food store. It is suppose to rebuild the immune system.

Thanks, I printed it for my files too!

A few cautions Don't give aspirin to any dog that is bleeding (or bruising, say like having been hit by a car) Benadryl needs to be JUST diphenhydramine, no additives for congestion or coughing , etc. At 2 mg per pound, you will have a very sedate dog, average dose is 1 mg per lb Re Hydrogen Peroxide, you can actually use a cup on a large dog, 1/2 cup on a medium dog, etc... its hard to overdose. If the dog has an empty stomach, feed a meal of dry food or a few slices of bread ( some dogs with eat Hydrogen Peroxide soaked bread) You can also induce if you dog has eaten soft items (socks, underwear) but do not induce if he has eaten anything hard or sharp. If the dog has eaten chicken bones or anything similar, feed small frequent bulky meals or processed white bread to help protect the gut lining from damage.
