For anyone interested in seeing/feeling/ holding the latest cameras, lenses, accessories, backs, flash, etc the annual show will take place in NYC Thu through Sta at Javits Center.
Also major seminars as well as a gallery of WTC shots by the working pros will be tied in to the show.

Bob, I called the Javits center information line, and the pre-recorded message said the show is only open to the trade. I wish you could have told us this. I really wanted to go to the show, but I'm an assistant photographer at a university and don't have any proof that I'm an employee. Maybe they wouldn't have let me in anyway (I don't know what "trade" means), but at least I could have checked the matter out during the week.
Is there a similar show for the public?

Sorry they confused you. The show was open to anyone with any interest in photo. Pro was not required and they issued blue badges for "advanced photorapjers"
That claasificction is for amateur photographers.
