Hi,

Would like to find out whether Dazzle and Snazzi are the same company or not. Dazzle has DVC-II while Snazzi also carries DVC-II also.

They are different products and product lines of the same company Dazzle Multimedia. They have acquired, or they were acquired by, the German multimedia company Fast which is the move probably responsible mainly for them getting out of the rut they were in two years ago when the laughable DVC direct-to-MPEG1 capture device was being touted as a get-around to the lengthy times amateurs like U and me have to go through when we encode clips to MPEG with s/w.

I just wanted to followup to Mehmet's post. The DVC II is a very good capture device for those who want to do MPEG-2 recording for DVD or SVCD. I've heard that it's not so good for VCD, but I can tell you that for a card that does direct MPEG-2 capture, it can definitely compete with s/w encoding in terms of quality. I also have an ATI All-in-Wonder Radeon card and it can't compete with s/w encoding.

My Dazzle Snazzi is giving me to much problem that my head starts acheing just to think of the item ?

It works some time well, but most of the time it just eats up my time like a whale consumes planks.

I myself is a troubleshooter and maintenance certificate holder approved by the singapore gov.

Sir, do have any suggestions for me at all ?

Dazzle DVC-II and Snazzi DVC-II, good for mpeg2 and svcd, but i don't know with audio syncronization. Snazzi has released dvc-iii, maybe this is good because the other item bundle with dvd writer
