Disciplainary action

"Michael Gray has admitted he was furious at Julio Arca's disallowed goal on Saturday but has praised his side's battling display against Arsenal. TV replays later showed that Arca had been in an offside position when he headed home what he thought was the winning goal at the Stadium of Light, but referee Mike Riley was surrounded by furious players from both sides after the final whistle had gone. Both managers will be hoping that the club avoids disciplinary action for the dissent, but Gray preferred to concentrate on how a battling 90-minute performance had transformed the side's expectations."

Note : Both managers will hope to avoid disciplinary action. What kind of action would this be? Fines, suspensions, points deductions?

Give the whole team a 12 match ban, that'll teach them not to swear at Sir.

Why was there dissent from the Ar5e over a disallowed goal that saved them a point ?

it probably relates to a series of bad tackles and poor decisions based on these bad tackles...

Arse were not happy that he would not let them take the free kick until he had informed the players that the goal was disallowed.

They took the kick and were playing on and he blew the whistle and made them take the ball back and wait.
