CTOOM flash bracket

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Leica Photography : One Thread

Hi,

Can someone tell me whether the CTOOM flash bracket will fit onto a classic M6?

Thanks.

The earlier M cameras have a post on the left side of the body just above where the baseplate attaches. This is used to help support the CTOOM bracket with one side being held by the tripod mount and the other attached to this post. It will "fit" without the post but will put too much strain on the baseplate. This post was also used to mount the M camera in accessories such as the Repovit. Your Leica distributor can add the post to any M camera without one.

Cheers,
