What are the themes to The Black Cat, The Cask of Amontillado, The Tell Tale Heart, and The Pit and the Pendulum. Are these themes related in any way?

Fiendish revenge and murder is a common thread! In the Pit of course the narrator is the victim who manages to survive and is rescued in the nick of time. The fiendishness of the Inquisition and the noble Montresor seems coldly natural to their class and senses of revenge. The black cat murderer is overcome by alcoholism to fall int a raging obsession while the tell-Tale heart murderer is plain mad- the difference between the lower classes and the decadent elite I suppose.
