She had Tuberculosis. Eventually, ruptured a blood vessel while singing and then died.

They said she almost died form poping a blood vessel while singing,but she didn't but she died 3 years later maybe from that or something else.we think it is something else or it maybe it is just sipthoms from the blood vessel thing.

Virginia never popped a blood vessel while singing, that was Poe's excuse because he was in denial of her dying. Instead of a ruptured blood vessel she had early signs of tuberculosis while singing. Poe knew this to. She eventually died from it in 1847.
