Market research site

greenspun.com : LUSENET : What keeps you up at night? : One Thread

Hello,

I'm working in a research firm and want to build a website for marketing executives and marketing research people. I'm planning to put some valuable and free data which could be collected from several sources like websites, government agencies and other resources. I'll offer One stop research and this will be free. The site will mainly target the individuals in the FMCG sector. The service I'm planning to offer is desktop research for those firms (mainly articles and history of the issues, analyzes and some information taken from the books about the subjects. But I don't know how to start and what to offer additionally? How to reach those people: I'm planning to prepare some desktop research on some issues like kid's buying behaviors in America, crisis effects on FMCG in develeping countries and gives these researches for free for the executives of the companies. I have their emails. This is all I can think to promote the service, but I'm not sure if there is a big market for this kind of service. I will be glad to hear any idea, additional service, and comment. Thanks
